THE BEST! Started with the guacamole and chips which were both amazing! I had the taco plate with two cauliflower tacos. Actually amazing! I will be craving those for the next few months.

We met a group here to celebrate a birthday. It was perfect. So yummy, beautiful inside, great atmosphere. We shared a pitcher of delicious margaritas and I ordered the burrito bowl. I'm obsessed with burrito bowls and I know a good one when I see it. Theirs was delicious. I also tried someone's brussel sprouts and they were so tasty as well. The staff was so accommodating and kept our ice cream cake cold until we finished our meal. Oh! And since we had the table reserved ahead of time, they printed Happy 30th Birthday at the top of our menus.

Best guacamole in town. You can't go here and not get the guac! So delicious. Their chips are homemade and really, really tasty. Keep em coming! Other than their guac, I have enjoyed every taco I've had here, and their Chopped Salad is big and fresh. I have seen the burritos - they are massive, so come hungry. I also really like their churros with a chocolate sauce. Sweet, warm, and yummy. Sangrias are good to drink, plus they have beer and happy hour specials. The place has a cool, casual decor theme. Great place for a high quality, not too expensive meal downtown. Enjoy!

After almost a week of slamming back raw oysters like I was going for a championship belt, I needed something different in my life. Enter Minero, a charming Mexican joint in the French Quarter. Its focus is primarily street tacos, so don't come here expecting white queso or fajitas, but what they do offer is so flavorful that I can't imagine you'll miss out on your favs. Right off the bat, our waitress won me over by tracking down some paper my son could draw on (the kid's menu is a laminated card, no crayons, no mazes, no word searches - sob.) while putting in our drink order. Both the classic and watermelon margs were amazing - perfectly balanced, not at all astringent, and decently sized for the price. All drinks come in acrylic glasses, which at first I found off-putting but came to respect as the night crawled on. We opened with the house chips and a bowl of guac. Surprisingly, radish is the perfect topping for fresh guacamole - wouldn't have guessed it. The chips were a bit overly browned for my preference, but thick and perfectly salted, and the padded oven bag kept them nice and warm. For tacos, we tried a nightly special (heirloom tomato & queso de Oaxaca), an al pastor, a steak, and a carnitas. I was angry at the special because it was exactly what it claimed to be (salsa) instead of what I imagined (sliced tomato), but it was messy and the flavors were indistinct. Al Pastor was excellent, but maybe because it's hard to mess up. Here, they shave a sliver of pineapple on top rather than cooking down tidbits. Steak and carnitas both passed muster with my husband, and - continuing a vacation theme for us - my son's fideo was surprisingly delicious. I was psyched he didn't finish, and carried his leftovers all over Charleston before downing them for my own lunch the next day. Overall, the meal was well-paced and fairly priced, and the atmosphere was beyond charming. Would definitely go again, especially if they got on board the oyster taco train that other area restaurants are on.

Had an early dinner here last night after driving in. The atmosphere is really cool and fun. We ordered the queso off the happy hour menu and 2 margs. Both were really delicious. The chips come in a neoprene bag which is a cool touch. The chips are also house made and had a flavor to them. They were so good. They give you a lot and we had a ton of chips left over after the queso was gone and we finished them all. We also got 2 chicken tacos and split the chicken burrito. The tocos came in corn tortillas and were small bit stuffed. Also they were SUPER spicy. There really wasn't much of an indication of the heat on the menu which is hard for me because I can't do spicy food. Bit the burrito was not spicy at all and it was stuffed. Definitely larger than a chipotle burrito. Really really yummy.
